We are located in southern part of New York State, in a foothills of Catskill Mountains,
where cosiness and serenity managed to remain intact.
Should I call my self a farmer, animal keeper, or a gardener?
I’m none of that by a big measure. Nevertheless, I’m all of it on a small scale.
We have little bit of everything.
These are our Livestock Guardian Dogs:
Misha and Milenka.
Misha means Bear. He is 1 year old pure Great Pyrenees.
Milenka means Pretty and she is 10 months old Karakachan, native of Bulgaria.
Thanks to them, we have no loses to our chickens.
They both are patroling entire property from dusk till dawn.
During a day they are mostly sleeping, but with "one eye open" - meaning they are alert even during their well deserved rest time.
I'm proud to be the only owner of true LGD in the whole Sullivan County.

Here are two spoiled Lamancha GOATS:
Molly and Lolly.
This picture was taken last Summer. Today, they look more mature.
I'm working on new pictures...please be patient with me :)
As you can see, they have a lot of freedom. They can graze all around our house.
At least for now! The destruction they making is a good reason to confine them!
My next plan is to fence out some designated area just for them. We will get on it in Spring.
